How I got here
I've always had an interest in a more holistic approach to health and wellbeing, but dismissed becoming a therapist as it wasn't the done thing back in the early '90s when you were 3 years into a 4 year Business Studies degree!
So I ploughed on with 'normal' jobs until 2016, when (after 20 years working in the charity, local government and education sectors) my children started secondary school, I realised it was time to do what I wanted to do. I started with Reflexology and the rest, as they say, is history!
What do I love most about my job?
The total and utter awesomeness of our body and its ability to put up with so much, and yet still be able bring itself back into balance and harmony given the right time, the right space, the right treatment and the right therapist. I mean, it's just incredible!
And then to be given the honour to create the right time and space for my clients in which to give them the right treatment...what's not to love?!
My qualifications
As well as qualifications in Reflexology, Reiki and Bowen, I’ve trained with Sally Kay, pioneer of the award-winning Reflexology for Lymph drainage , with Sally Earlham in Reflexology for Menopause support and, most recently, with Phil Steward in Assessment Led Bowen Technique. I also have further qualifications in Fascia Bowen, ear candling and holistic facials.
I’m a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
