Supporting you through a healthy menopause

"Menopause is a natural process, and while it can be a tough time, there's lots you can do to help."

Natural support for a bloody pain in the arse

Sorry NOT sorry about the heading! It is a bloody pain in the arse!

At the moment I seem to be quite 'lucky'...although I've still got (somewhat erratic) periods, my only obvious symptoms are that I'm running cold rather than hot, I've got dry skin, and I'm in what feels like a daily battle with my chinny whiskers.

But I know that luck can turn on a penny - so I'm trying my best to look after myself and I'm guessing that's why you're here.

What are the benefits of reflexology for menopause?

Taking care of your health and wellbeing couldn't be more important as you go through the menopause as this, more than anything, will have a direct impact on your experience. To do this, you may need some extra support - which is where I can help.

At its very heart, reflexology is deeply relaxing and can help with reducing stress, improving sleep and improving your general overall sense of wellbeing - all of which can be affected during the menopause and all of which can exacerbate other symptoms you're experiencing.

As well as a reflexology treatment tailored to support you, I provide you with a space for you to just be, a non-judgemental ear to listen, and knowledge if you want to know more about lifestyle changes.

Session length

30- or 60-minute appointments.

Reflexology can also be combined with other therapies to create a 90-minute appointment (see below 'Works well with...')

What happens during a treatment?

Each treatment is tailored to you, and every treatment starts with a health and wellbeing consultation to identify the support you need.  From there nothing is asked of you but to rest and be – and there’s no need to remove anything but your shoes and socks.

I use Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely All Over Balm* in all my treatments, or you can upgrade to CBD Balm.

At the end of each session, we’ll discuss any additional support you might require, including after care guidance to help you make the most of your treatment.

*Please let me know if you are vegan / allergic to any of these ingredients so I can provide an alternative.

Price

  • £60 for a 60-minute appointment, including specialist support
  • £35 for a 30-minute appointment, including specialist support
  • Add £2 if you'd like me to use CBD Balm on your feet

The price of a 90 minute session will depend on what therapy you want to combine Reflexology with.

How many treatments will I need?

It really depends on what you want to use Reflexology for!

As with any complementary therapy there's a cumulative effect, so if you are able to have a few treatments closer together you should see quicker results.

In an ideal world I'd recommend 4-6 treatments, each a week apart, perhaps a couple of fortnightly treatments with the aim to continue with monthly top-ups. But if it's just for a treat then come as often as you want!

Reflexology for menopause is not a quick fix, it will require some commitment, but however you want to space your treatments is up to you.

We will discuss all of this at your first treatment and create a treatment plan that works for you.
