My Passion is Your Health and Wellbeing

How I Became a Holistic Therapist

I've always had an interest in a more holistic approach to health and wellbeing, but dismissed becoming a therapist as it wasn't the done thing back in the early '90s when you were 3 years into a 4 year Business Studies degree!

So I ploughed on with 'normal' jobs until 2016, when (after 20 years working in the charity, local government and education sectors) my children started secondary school, I realised it was time to do what I wanted to do. I started with Reflexology and the rest, as they say, is history!

What Do I Love Most About My Job?

The total and utter awesomeness of our body and its ability to put up with so much, and yet still be able bring itself back into balance and harmony given the right time, the right space, the right treatment and the right therapist. I mean, it's just incredible!

And then to be given the honour to create the right time and space for my clients in which to give them the right treatment...what's not to love?!

My Qualifications

As well as qualifications in Reflexology, Bowen, Fascia Bowen, Lymphatic Bodywork, Thai Massage and Holistic Facials, I’ve got specialist qualifications in Reflexology for Lymph drainage and Reflexology for Menopause support.

I’m proud to be a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the Federation of Holistic Therapists. This gives you the security of having a treatment with a fully qualified and insured therapist, and allows you to claim your treatment costs back if you have health insurance!

“…an exceptionally good therapist. She is approachable, and professional with a down to earth approach.” Janne

“Wow! What a woman…Sarah is an amazing therapist. She is friendly, compassionate and very good at what she does.” Honor

“Sarah is such a warm, caring person and very talented. She’s helped me so much and I’d recommend everyone to book a treatment with her!” Heather

My Commitments to You

1% For The Planet

I'm committed to taking action to protect our planet which is why I wanted to become a member of 1% For The Planet. Earth is where we live and it's a place directly linked with our own health and wellbeing, and as anthropologist Gregory Bateson said in his 1972 collected essays , "an organism that destroys its environment destroys itself." This is why I believe sustainability isn’t just about reducing waste or choosing eco-friendly products - it’s about embracing a more holistic approach to life and also, in my case, to my business. I’ll be honest - sometimes it’s incredibly challenging (financially and mentally!), and sometimes I don’t get it right. But my commitment is real.
